The benefits of facial massage
As well as providing a sense of wellbeing, facial massage has a host of cosmetic benefits, helping to revitalise tired faces and relax tense features. Its many advantages – including smoother skin, refined skin texture and less visible dark circles – are the result of the fingers moving over the skin, which boosts microcirculation.
And by stimulating skin cells, facial massage also has an anti-ageing effect, leaving skin firmer and tauter.
So, why not give it a go?
#1 Spread a few drops of serum over your hands and press them together in front of your face as if saying a prayer. Take a big breath in, hold it for a few seconds, then exhale deeply.
#2 Use your hands to press the product into the skin of your face and neck.
#3 Spread the product up over your cheekbones, then smooth it over your forehead in an upward motion. Next, slide your hands from your forehead to your chin, and all the way down your neck.
#4 Go back up to the roots of your hair and use your fingertips to make little pinching motions.
#5 Take a deep breath and place the pads of your fingers between your eyebrows. Exhale while pressing gently.
#1 Spread a small amount of cream over the backs of your hands, then apply the product to your face and neck using vigorous patting motions.
#2 Make a fist with both hands and slide from the centre of your forehead towards your temples.
#3 Place your hands under your cheekbones and press, sliding up towards your ears.
#4 Curl your index fingers and use them to smooth your skin, working from the middle of your chin up to your ears.
#5 Use your thumbs to press from behind your ears to the bottom of your neck.
#1 Take a small amount of the emulsion and use your hands to press the product into your face and neck.
#2 Massage your neck using quick upward movements from your collarbone to your chin.
#3 Energetically lift the skin of your chin up towards your cheekbones, as if you were trying to make them higher.
#4 Pinch your lips together between your thumbs and forefingers, then stretch them out towards your ears.
#5 Use the pads of your fingers to smooth your eyebrows outwards, then move them in circles around the eye contour.
#6 Lift your cheekbones, then smooth your forehead using upward motions. Next, slide your hands from your forehead to your chin, and all the way down your neck.
#1 Take a small amount of the balm and use your fingertips to apply the product all over your face and neck.
#2 Using alternating hands, stroke the contours of your face, starting from the middle of your forehead and moving down to your chin and neck.
#3 Using the edges of your index fingers, stretch your nasolabial folds outwards, starting from the sides of your nose.
#4 Make outwards smoothing motions around your lips.
#5 Massage one side of your neck, then the other, using broad, circular movements.
#6 Lift your cheekbones, then smooth your forehead using upward motions. Next, slide your hands from your forehead to your chin, and all the way down your neck.
