Hélène Kraus, dietician, micronutritionist and naturopathWhen was your last adrenaline rush?
My weekly jog always leaves me feeling energized. I don’t run for long, just 30 minutes, and I complement that with strength training sessions.
What’s your energy-boosting playlist?
Instead of sharing my playlist, I’m going to reveal the song I’ve always listened to: Smalltown Boy. It has often been remixed, but I love its retro feel and 80s British sound. It’s a song that always gets me going.
Who gives you a boost?
My husband! He’s an entrepreneur committed to the green transition and we challenge each other daily. Even after 15 years together, two children and all the changes we’ve experienced in life, we’re still looking in the same direction.
Where do you go to recharge your batteries?
In spring I like to go and recharge my batteries in the Louron Valley in the Pyrenees. It’s peaceful, the peaks are still covered in snow, the weather’s pleasant in the valley and the trees are budding. I collect birch sap there, which I use as a detox to help my body function properly.



Which book has helped you move forward?
The title may seem paradoxical, but the book “Comment tout peut s'effondrer” (how everything could fall apart) by Raphaël Stevens and Pablo Servigne was a turning point in my life. That book helped me to move forward by taking a step backwards, away from the way we are organized as a human society, away from my values, away from the way we live... It was a real, much-needed wake-up call, and it gave me the impetus to make many changes to the way I eat, travel and consume.
What is your must-have to start the day off right?
My cup of green tea, sometimes with matcha powder, sometimes without. And, of course, my shot of marine plasma: 10 ml in 40 ml of water.
What’s the secret to your positive energy?
Exercise, good food, love and friends. A bit like everyone else, don’t you think?
