Neuraé and the environment

Rooted in the Sisley Group’s environmental commitment and sustainability vision, NEURAÉ follows a structured action plan to amplify its efforts and reduce its environmental footprint at every stage of production.

Packagings : The 4R Commitment

Every NEURAÉ product is designed around the ‘4R’ approach:
The search for the right weight (Reduction), Rechargeability, Recyclability and the use of Recycled materials.

We incorporate recycled materials into our packaging: Boxes made from at least 40% recycled paper.

recyclable container

We prioritize refillable formats whenever possible:

Our cream jars are refillable. This approach allows us to significantly reduce our overall packaging volume.

We actively promote this solution across all communication touchpoints to encourage its use while making sustainable beauty both accessible and desirable.

We are committed to reducing our plastic footprint: Our refillable jars are made with lightweight, recyclable plastic refills. This approach allows us to significantly reduce our overall packaging volume.

serum

We choose packaging formats that make waste sorting easier:

For our serum, the brand's iconic product, we have chosen a dropper format designed for effortless disassembly and sorting at the end of its life.

Conscious Formulation

Our formulas are composed of at least 94% ingredients of natural origin.

We support the careful sourcing of cutaneous ingredients, some of which come from a co-product, a plant from organic farming or a crop with controlled irrigation methods.

Here are a few illustrations showing the importance of sustainability in the choice of our ingredients and their extraction :

. We strive to choose eco-sourced active ingredients, obtained by innovative extraction methods like CO2 supercritical (i.e. our Cornflower Extract and Resurrection Concentrate).

. We use ingredients from co-products (i.e. our Eperua Extract and Coconut extracts).

. We source ingredients from sustainable production sources (i.e. our Jania rubens extract is extracted from an algae cultivated in a photo-bioreactor to reduce the risk of overexploitation of natural resources and its negative impact on the environment).

Climate & Biodiversity

Within the Sisley Group, the responsible management of resources (energy, water, and waste is integral to our growth.) We actively reduce our daily environmental footprint by placing these efforts at the very core of our development.

SOA Offices

Energy consumption

Sisley’s facilities adhere to the strictest international certifications, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and HQE. This commitment ensures our sites utilize cutting-edge insulation and energy-saving technologies. Through strategic long-term investments, we have modernized our machinery for peak efficiency and implemented smart LED lighting systems with motion sensors to minimize our environmental footprint.

Renewable energy

Sisley Group maximises renewable energy use, notably via our 18,000 m² solar plant in Val-d’Oise—one of the Paris region's largest which fully powers our offices. We also integrate geothermal energy at our logistics hub.

Waste management

Our priority is waste prevention. Sisley Group reduces waste at the source by reusing packaging materials (bubble wrap, cardboard) and recycling promotional items. We actively collaborate with partners to develop innovative recycling streams for specialized materials like glass, plastic, and labels to ensure all residual waste is repurposed.

Distribution and transport

Most Sisley Group’s products are made in France and shipped to over 110 countries. Over the last decade, we have pivoted from air to sea freight, which now accounts for over 90% of our transport. We are also pioneering sustainable logistics through rail transport and the coZEV project, aiming for zero-emission maritime shipping.

Water management

Sisley Group prioritizes water conservation by optimizing production and reducing waste. Our facilities utilize closed-loop circuits and high-pressure cleaning nozzles to minimize consumption. Furthermore, 100% of our industrial wastewater is treated at our on-site purification station to prevent downstream pollution.

The preservation of biodiversity

Sisley Group actively protects local ecosystems at our French sites through beehives and the planting of 4,000 endemic trees and shrubs. Globally, the Sisley Foundation supports major conservation projects, notably the Jardin Sisley des Lauracées in French Guiana. In partnership with the French Coastal Conservancy and CIRAD, this garden is dedicated to researching and preserving native species such as rosewood, cacao, and coffee.
